Baptist Christian School and Preschool (Ministries of First Baptist Church)
"Providing quality Christian education in the San Jacinto Valley for over 40 years."
Baptist Christian School began in 1965 as a ministry of First Baptist Church of Hemet. After beginning with only kindergarten and first grade, the school's program expanded to include pre-school through ninth grade by 1973. The rest of the high school grades (10-12) were added beginning in 1983 with the first high school graduation in 1986. The school celebrated its 40th anniversary (and 20th graduating Senior class) in 2005-2006.
The teachers at Baptist Christian School are well qualified academically and possess a personal knowledge of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives. They are conscious of the specific call of God to the ministry of Christian teaching and possess a knowledge and appreciation of the moral and spiritual needs of their students. All of our teachers have college degrees and certification through the Association of Christian Schools International, and some have graduate degrees.

The teachers at Baptist Christian Preschool are all state certified with an education in early child development. More importantly, each teacher has a love for the Lord that is visible in every aspect of the curriculum. The Preschool's purpose is to help each child know that God loves them and has a purpose for their life. A traditional school-year program (open from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm) is available for kids (ages 18 months to five years of age). This is enhanced with an optional eight week summer program. Our brand new facility includes state-of-the-art equipment and two first class playground.
